Structured Review

Review many documents at once with AI — structured as a grid, exported as a table.

Overview

What is Structured Review?

Structured Review lets you analyze multiple documents simultaneously using a tabular format. You define the questions (columns), upload the documents (rows), and GenIA-L fills in each cell with an AI-extracted answer — giving you a complete comparison grid in minutes.

It's designed for tasks where you need to extract the same information from many documents: due diligence reviews, contract audits, regulatory compliance checks, lease analysis, or any multi-document comparison task.

Each cell in the grid is a sourced AI answer with a confidence indicator. You can click on any cell to see the exact passage from the document that the answer is based on, then export the entire grid to Excel or CSV.

Templates

Use pre-built templates for common tasks (M&A due diligence, GDPR audit, employment contract review) or build your own.

Export to Excel / CSV

Export the full grid for use in reports, client deliverables, or further processing in Excel.

How to use

1

Select or create a template

Choose a pre-built review template for your task, or create a new one by defining the columns (questions) you want to extract.

2

Upload your documents

Drag and drop or select the documents you want to review. Supported formats: PDF, DOCX, TXT. You can upload up to 50 documents per review.

3

Configure columns

Review the column questions and adjust them if needed. You can add, remove, or reorder columns, and set the expected answer format (text, date, yes/no, etc.).

e.g. column: "Termination notice period" — expected format: "Duration in days/weeks/months"

4

Run the review

Click Run Review. GenIA-L processes each document-column combination in parallel. A progress indicator shows completion status.

5

Review the grid

Inspect the completed grid. Click any cell to see the source passage. Flag cells for manual review if the confidence is low.

6

Export results

Export the full grid to Excel or CSV. Add your own notes column before exporting if needed.

Tips & best practices

Write precise column questions

The quality of extraction depends on the clarity of your column question. Ask for a specific, factual answer — not a summary.

Use confidence indicators

Low-confidence cells are flagged in orange. Always manually verify these before using them in a deliverable.

Save your templates

Once you have a column setup that works well for a document type, save it as a template to reuse on future reviews.
