Feature Guide
Legislation
Track regulatory changes and compare legal text versions side by side.
Overview
What is the Legislation module?
The Legislation module is a regulatory intelligence tool that lets you search across legal texts, monitor changes over time, and compare different versions of laws and regulations side by side.
It covers French legislation (codes, lois, décrets, arrêtés), European regulations (EU regulations and directives), and selected international legal texts. Every text is kept up to date automatically when official updates are published.
You can set up alerts to be notified when a specific law or regulation changes, making it easy to stay current on the rules that affect your practice area without manual monitoring.
Live legislative tracking
Legislation is updated automatically when official sources publish changes. You always read the current consolidated version.
Version comparison
Compare any two versions of a legal text side by side with color-coded diffs to see exactly what changed and when.
Change alerts
Set up alerts on specific articles, entire laws, or topic areas. Receive email notifications when a monitored text changes.
Multi-country coverage
Coverage spans French law, EU legislation (EUR-Lex), and key international agreements. Filter by country and legal domain.
How to use
Search the legislation database
Enter the name or number of a law, code, or regulation. You can also search by topic or keyword across the full text of laws.
e.g. "Code du travail article L1237-19" or "GDPR article 17"
Filter by country and domain
Use the filters to narrow results by jurisdiction (France, EU, international) and legal domain (Labour, Corporate, Data Protection, etc.).
Read the consolidated text
Open a legal text to read the current consolidated version with article-level navigation. All amendments are incorporated.
Compare text versions
Use the Version History tab to select two dates and compare the text versions side by side. Added text is green, removed text is red.
Set up alerts
Click 'Monitor this text' on any law, article, or topic search. Choose your notification frequency (immediate, daily digest, weekly).

Tips & best practices
Monitor articles, not just laws
You can set an alert on a specific article (e.g. Art. L1237-19 Code du travail) to get notified only when that article changes.
Use the AI summary for long texts
For long regulatory texts, use the 'AI Summary' button to get a structured overview of the key obligations before reading in full.
Cross-reference with Jurisprudence
From any article, you can jump to the Jurisprudence module to see cases that have interpreted that article.
